Happy (Early) Mother's Day!

On Friday Mom accompanied me to Muncie where we had an early Mother's Day lunch with Grammy! Mom brought back an old time tradition by getting us each a carnation to wear - a "red" carnation if your mom is still living and a "white" carnation if your mom has passed away.

On Saturday Mom and Daddy accompanied us to church and then came back to our house for another (early) Mother's Day celebration - a cook-out! Teriaki chicken kabobs and Gooey Butter Cake for dessert...YUM! Unfortunately, Grammy wasn't feeling well today, so she couldn't come along as planned - so we had to celebrate without her. :-(
